We’ll schedule a phone conversation. This first conversation will last around 20 minutes. I’ll need to find out some headline information about your company: the market you operate in; your products, services and brands; your main competitors; and your particular business challenges. Also, I’ll give you a full description of my relevant services, including pricing. And I’ll answer any questions you have about me. Finally, we’ll discuss the possibility of working together.
Then I’ll draft a proposal. If we decide to continue, we’ll set a date to follow up about a week later. And meanwhile, I’ll send you a draft proposal explaining how I deliver my services and how those services address your issues. It will also include estimated timings and costs.
Then we’ll have a follow-up conversation. At this second conversation, we’ll discuss the proposal and the specifics of working together. If we agree to go ahead, we’ll fix any conditions, choose a starting date, and agree a payment schedule. Immediately afterwards, I’ll email you a note of what we agreed, and once you’re happy with that, our working partnership will begin. And of course, until this point, there’s no cost and no obligation.
